ABOUT CRAIG

Before Pilates, most of my working life was spent in physically demanding jobs — from boilermaking and CNC machining to forklift driving and courier work.

Years of repetitive work, heavy lifting and long days eventually caught up with me. Ongoing neck pain became a major part of my life, and finding ways to keep my body moving well became less of an option and more of a necessity.

That's what eventually led me to Pilates.

the journey.

why rebuild

REBUILD PILATES came from wanting to teach Pilates in a way that felt practical, straightforward and relevant to real life.

You don't need to be flexible, know the terminology or fit the traditional image of someone who does Pilates. My approach is about understanding how your body moves, building useful strength and mobility, and helping you feel more capable in the things you actually want to do.

Whether that's working on the tools, sitting behind a desk, surfing, playing golf, training in the gym or simply keeping your body moving as you get older.

no stigma.

Why pilates

What started as a way to manage my own body quickly became something much bigger. Pilates helped me better understand how I move, where I was holding tension and why I lacked strength, control and mobility.

Over time, I noticed real changes — better posture, better body awareness and a greater understanding of why I held tension in certain areas, and which areas needed more attention than others.

What stood out most was how practical it was. Pilates wasn't about being flexible or performing complicated movements. It was about learning to move well, building strength and control, and giving my body more capacity to handle the things I ask of it.

That experience is ultimately what made me want to teach it myself.

practicality.
